CRD VI marks a fundamental shift in how cross-border lending into the EU is assessed - moving away from a focus on where services are performed to whether they are provided to EU customers. 

While primarily targeting third-country credit institutions, the new regime may have broader implications for market practice, potentially reshaping how cross-border financing structures involving Danish borrowers are approached going forward.
