Artificial Intelligence (AI) was one of the hottest topics in 2023, and in Denmark, "ChatGPT" was even named the word of the year in 2023 by the Danish Language Council. However, the widespread use of AI tools has also brought light to legal complexities and considerations.

Most recently, the British Supreme Court has published their decision in a case where they had to determine whether an AI-driven machine can be classified as an "inventor" when applying for a patent, and the same question has also been raised in several other countries.
