In September 2025, Denmark introduced a temporary framework allowing the government to fast-track construction of strategically vital projects that aim to strengthen national security and emergency readiness.

The framework, which is in force until the end of 2028, simplifies approval processes, introduces direct ministerial oversight, and permits targeted deviations from existing planning and environmental rules. It aims to accelerate the delivery of essential infrastructure such as new barracks, logistics facilities, and emergency response hubs.

In this newsletter, Partners Simon Winther Bjerregaard and Andreas Hvid Risvang Clement, together with Associate Nina Jantzen, outline the key features of the new Act, its background and the market potential, and comment on its impact.
