Moalem Weitemeyer acts as sell-side legal counsel on the sale of Meldgaard’s recycling and slag operations to RGS Nordic, a part of Blue Phoenix Group (owned by InfraVia Capital Partners and Daiwa International Capital Partners).

We are pleased to have advised the ultimate owners of Meldgaard Holding and Fam. Hedegaard Invest on the sale of Meldgaard Recycling and Meldgaard Sustain (together with their respective subsidiaries) to RGS Nordic and Blue Phoenix Group. The Meldgaard Group is a leading Danish provider of IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash) processing, operating across nine countries. Meldgaard Recycling focuses on the refinement of non-ferrous metals and IBA sorting, while Meldgaard Sustain manages activities related to IBA treatment.

The transaction includes a group of nine legal entities with operations in Europe and the United States. RGS Nordic – a market leader in the treatment and recycling of soil and construction and demolition waste, and part of the Blue Phoenix Group, which operates IBA (Incinerator Bottom Ash) processing installations globally and provides the Energy-from-Waste sector with sustainable solutions for ash residues – strengthens its position in sustainable waste management and enters the IBA segment through this strategic acquisition.
